Your data, kept to a minimum.

Example text for the Carry template. Have it reviewed by a lawyer and adapted to your business and country before you publish.
1. Who we are
Carry is published by Carry Media Ltd (demo company), London. We are responsible for the personal data collected through this website and our newsletter.
2. What we collect
When you subscribe, we collect your email address and, if you choose to give them, your name and job. When you buy a paid plan, our payment provider collects your payment details; we never see your full card number.
We also collect basic usage data: which emails you open and which links you click, so we know which charts are useful.
3. Why we collect it
To send you Carry, to manage your subscription and payments, to answer your messages, and to understand which issues readers find useful.
4. Legal basis
Your consent for the newsletter, the contract between us for paid plans, and our legitimate interest in improving Carry. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your email address while you are subscribed and for 30 days after you leave. Payment records are kept for six years, as UK tax law requires.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your data. We use a newsletter platform, a payment provider and a website host to run Carry, under contracts that protect your data. Sponsors never receive your details.
7. Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers store data in the United States or the European Union. These transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
8. Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, restrict it or ask for a copy. To use any of these rights, write to the editor with Contact the editor on the About page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
9. Changes
We will update this policy if our practices change and show the date of the last update at the top of the page.
